How to use it
- Drop in an .svg file.
- Set the width in pixels.
- Pick a white or custom background.
- Download the JPG.
When JPG is the right choice
JPG makes small files and works with every upload form and photo tool. It is a fine choice for a logo on a solid background, a preview image or a social post.
If you need transparency, export a PNG instead with the SVG to PNG converter.
What the settings do
- File type
- PNG keeps transparency and sharp edges. JPG makes smaller files for photos and flat backgrounds. WebP is small and works in modern browsers.
- Width in pixels
- The finished image width. Raise it for a bigger, sharper PNG. An SVG can be made any size without losing quality.
- Background
- Leave it transparent for logos you will place on other colors, or fill it with white, black or any color.
What people use it for
- Upload forms that only accept JPG
- Small preview images
- Social posts and email
- Print portals that want JPEG
Questions
Why is the background white?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas have to be filled. White is the default. Choose a custom color if you want something else.
Does JPG lower quality?
Slightly. JPG is a lossy format, and sharp edges can pick up faint noise. For crisp logos, PNG is cleaner.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Tracing and file creation happen in your browser, using code that is part of this page. Your image is not sent to a server. You can check this in your browser's network tab while you use the tool.
